We are a non-profit volunteer group providing free dog-therapy/visiting
service to the Toronto community and its neighbourhoods (including
Mississauga and Markham). Our volunteers bring their friendly dogs
to visit elders, patients, and people with disabilities at nursing
homes and other healthcare facilities weekly or bi-weekly. We also
provide dog-therapy/visiting at clients' homes. Social activities
keep our dog-loving volunteers connected. All our volunteer dogs must
pass the mandatory vaccination/health requirements and a therapy dog
evaluation.

Legged Love
A Toronto and Ontario Dog Rescue and Adoption group. A No Kill Rescue,
all dogs who enter their program stay in foster homes until they have
found permanent new homes.

"Pit Bull" Co-op
The "Pit Bull" Co-op is a Toronto born group where "pit
bull" (American pit bull terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier,
American staffordshire terrier, any other dog that resembles any of
the above breeds and is included under Ontario's Bill 132) owners
meet on a weekly basis to walk and socialize their dogs in medium
sized groups in down town Toronto. The co-op is currently looking
to expand in other parts of Ontario as well. The co-op is dedicated
to creating awareness about "pit bulls" and responsible
dog ownership through educating, meetups, and fundraising.

Smiling Blue Skies Canine Cancer Information Centre and Fund
The Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund is in loving memory of our beautiful
BluesMan, Ch Teacherspet Smiling Blue Skies CGC, who we lost to lymphoma,
and was the 2004 recipient of the Golden Retriever Club of Canada's
Silmaril Kennel Trophy for the Human/Animal Bond. Our fund raising
efforts, benefit the University of Guelph's Smiling Blue Skies Cancer
Fund, with all proceeds going to the treatment and research of canine
cancer. Visit us for limited edition and one of a kind ceramics, gifts,
and jewelry, supporting precious people and pets. Smiling Blue Skies
offers the most comprehensive on-line canine cancer information centre
in Canada, including web and print resources, veterinary support,
nutritional information, studies and grants, and grief support.

Help to improve the quality of life of anyone who will benefit from
the regular love and care of a dog ~ children in hospital, the physically
and/or mentally challenged, those is seniors residences, palliative
care or rest homes. To join the ranks of the Therapy Dogs, a dog must
become certified as a "Good Canine Citizen".
